Admission Requrements

  • The minimum entry requirement is the National Senior Certificate or National Certificate Vocational with appropriate subject combinations and levels of achievement; or

  • An equivalent NQF level 4 qualification with proven proficiency in English

  • It is possible in some cases, to gain entry into the programme on the basis of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

  • Align Project Management with strategic business goals in order to create a value chain that gives organisations their competitive advantage.

  • Support and apply leadership practices in the role as a Project Manager within both emerging and advanced markets.

  • Utilise team building techniques to make teams in matrix environments more cohesive and successful.

  • Manage a Project Management Office in order to ensure efficient resource utilisation.

  • Manage project management risks to ensure the project is delivered within scope, time and cost constraints.

  • Utilise communication skills and strategies to manage the expectations of the customer and stakeholders.

  • Manage competing expectations of stakeholders to ensure a positive influence on the project.

  • Monitor and report on the performance of projects.

  • Implement research methods and designs relevant to project management in order to make informed decisions that lead to project success;

  • Apply the analytical skills and knowledge gained in the programme to a specialised research area
